About Music for Your Wedding

Before your wedding:

You may have a phone or email consultation to answer any questions.
I’ll send you an information packet with a Wedding Sampler CD, a helpful worksheet and performance agreement. Several of the selections on the sampler have been added to the "Listen" page.
A deposit is required to reserve the date and payment is due two weeks in advance of the event.

For a Wedding Ceremony,

I arrive an hour before the ceremony.
I begin playing Prelude music a half hour before the ceremony. This usually includes light Classical and Celtic music that’s joyful and appropriate for weddings. Listen to "Minuet d'Exaudet"
I play music at appropriate times during the ceremony.
Processional music is played for the entrance of the wedding party. This may include a separate piece for the seating of the parents and/or grandparents, a separate piece for attendants, and a processional. Listen to "Pachelbel's Canon"
During the ceremony I may play for your candle lighting, sand pouring or meditation.
If you request a short piece (1-2 pages of music) that I agree to compose or arrange and perform for your ceremony, there is a $50.00 surcharge. Please note that due to my schedule, I may not always have time available to learn new pieces.
Recessional music is joyful music that is played at the conclusion of the wedding ceremony as the wedding participants exit the venue. Listen to "Trumpet Voluntary"
I usually do not perform an extended “Postlude” after the wedding ceremony. Unless you are being married in a large Church where it will take much time for everyone to exit, I find that at most weddings, guests will go directly to the cocktail hour or reception after the event. If you would like to book a cocktail hour with your wedding, this service is also available.
